LRL Publishing is proud to announce we are open to receive submissions to our first ever Christmas anthology, ‘A Christmas Spectacular!’.

In light of all that has happened this year, we are looking for twenty (20) feel-good Christmas stories of between 5,000 and 10,000 words. We are specifically looking for stories where Christmas is a strong feature and that hold a touch of romance within them but the setting, genre and time frame can be whatever you choose!

As this will be a family friendly, feel good anthology, please try to avoid unnecessary profanity. We also prefer ‘fade to grey’ scenes. We are proud to be an inclusive publisher, so please don’t be scared to send in stories that represent those who can feel marginalised by society.

Unfortunately, we can’t offer any financial reward this time around but all stories will be professionally edited and successful authors will each receive a free e-book copy. Paperback copies will also be available for contributors to purchase at print price. If this anthology is successful (and we’re hoping it will be), token payments will be made to authors whose work is accepted into future anthologies. Eventually, we hope to be able to offer a percentage of sales (after costs are deducted) to all future contributors.

Guidelines for submission: Please submit your best work, edited to the best of your ability, in a Word document only. 12pt TNR. Double line spacing. 5,000 – 10,000 word count. (Note: submissions which do not follow the guidelines will not be read.) Stories submitted should not have been previously published and, if accepted, you guarantee not to publish anywhere outside of this anthology for the period of one year from date of publication. Submit to: jillturner1960@outlook.com with ‘A Christmas Spectacular’ in the reference box. Include, on the first page of your story, your given name, the title of your story, word count and author name (if different from your given name). You may submit a maximum of two (2) stories for consideration.

Deadline for submissions is midnight on Sunday 18th October, 2020.

If we do not receive enough submissions, we reserve the right to cancel this anthology. All works will be deleted from our systems and all rights will revert to the authors.
